The AMC heavyweight singles received a major revision for 1958, with an alternator replacing the previous dynamo and magneto and the replacement of the pressed steel primary drive case by an alloy item. The twin pilot lights were deleted and the mudguards were changed to a more rounded pattern losing the central reinforcing rib and providing better weather protection due to their increased wheel coverage.
This example of the Matchless 350cc variant has had only four owners from new and has been dry stored since 1972. It is described as being in fair condition cosmetically and largely to catalogue specification although it is fitted with a non-standard silencer. The engine has been run, the clutch works and gears select but the electrical system needs checking and re-connecting. It is offered with an old buff log book.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
