Lot details Registration No: AWA 749 Chassis No: 196978 Mot Expiry: April 2006
This 1934 Longbridge works made Austin Seven presents well, the De Luxe `Box' styled saloon bodywork being most attractive in traditional for the period Royal Blue over black with the upholstery in blue still the original leather. Fitted are an 858cc four-cylinder engine and a four-speed manual gearbox.
AWA 749 comes complete with original logbook and maintenance receipts detailing work carried out during the last six years of the vendor's ownership. Interestingly, the right-hand drive two-door is believed to have been owned by the cousin of legendary miner's union leader Arthur Scargill!
We understand from the entrant that the condition of the chassis is very good as are both bodywork and paintwork. The interior is also in good, whilst all the main mechanical as well as the electrical components are reportedly in excellent order. The latest MOT certificate, only recently renewed, will be valid until April of next year.
Qualifying for a tax-exempt disc, this has proved to be a very reliable little motorcar, says the owner, with many original features happily surviving well. As our clients will have also spotted, the guide price really is most attractive.
PLEASE NOTE: The engine in this vehicle is not correct, but is a similar type engine.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
