A small collection of Mercedes Benz memorabilia principally comprising of ephemera collected at the Stuttgart 1954 rally, which was attended by the vendor when she was a child. The lot is to include a large cased bronze medallion that celebrates 60 years of collaboration between Mercedes-Benz and Daimler in racing from 1894 - 1954; together with a folder containing the itinerary of the British competitors, their cars, their addresses, plus a large number of black/white photographs of the participating cars all marked with the registration numbers of each car on the back of each, whilst other contents include Mercedes-Benz official note-paper, a small victory poster of the race at the 1954 Nurburgring, race background & competitor details, hotel & other receipts & three menus signed by the competitors and others including Carraciola, Kling, Lang, Hermann, Fangio & Moss plus one other. Together with other interesting items. Surely one of the most important Mercedes-Benz collections to come to the market in recent years.
