Lot details Registration No: CKH567C Frame No: B407456 Engine No: B403465 cc: 350 MOT Expiry Date: None
Developed from the unit 250cc C15, the B40 350cc single offered greater flexibility and power output without an increase in weight when compared to the smaller engine. The new model would go on to form the basis for BSA scrambling activities and provide the British military with a new mount. The release of a large number of ex military B40's during the early eighties coincided with a growing interest in Pre 65 trials resulting in many of them being modified to trials specification. The B40 continues to be a favourite in the pre 65 trials world and is well supported by specialist suppliers while the standard model has recently seen a renewal in interest appealing to those who wish to ride a traditional single without the bulk of the pre unit machines.
This example has formed part of a private collection for a number of years and has only recently emerged from storage. Offered in complete, un-restored condition and fitted with a period full fairing and carrier it is accompanied by a buff log book.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
