An official event programme for the 1955 endurance event that famously ended in disaster, when a Mercedes-Benz 300SLR involved in an accident flew into the crowd, killing the driver (Pierre Levegh) and 80 spectators. In terms of human toll, it was the most catastrophic accident in motorsports history. The programme is a good reading copy, with some wear & creasing & attractive Geo ham artwork to the cover. Purchased from the collection of Neil McNab & thought to have originally belonged to Mike Hawthorn.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
