Manufactured in 1997 and understood to have been supplied new to car friendly climate of Japan, the Hyper Sports Gear-R offered was imported into the United Kingdom in 2008. Fitted with the 1990cc 16V turbo-charged DOHC straight-four engine (shared with the Evo 3), allied to an automatic transmission, the Hyper Sports offered is 1 of just 80 finished in the Green with Grey bumpers and side-skirts, and also features Grey cloth interior upholstery. Showing a recorded mileage of approximately 71,000 miles, the RVR has had four UK keepers since importation.

Documented in the history file are nine services from 2010 to date, with the RVR having received a new coil pack in 2015 and brake discs and pads all round in 2021. Offered with an MOT certificate until December 2024, the RVR is a very rare high performance MPV.
